Dr. Teresita Quirino, TIP's President, represented the educational institution in formalizing a three-year contract whereby Yapster e-Learning will deliver 5,000 International Computer Driving Licenses (ICDL) for use by TIP students. The ICDL is one of Yapster e-Learning's more popular courses. It contains lessons on basic computer operations, and extends all the way to word processing, preparing spreadsheets and presentations and presentations, and using the World Wide Web. For more advanced learners, a series of certification preparation programs such as Web Authoring, Web Programming, Internet Technologies, and a few others are also included. TIP has also arranged for the inclusion into the courseware of internationally accredited vendor specific certification courses from Microsoft, IBM, Netscape, Novell, and Lotus Notes to cater to students who are really interested in these courses.
"Offering e-Learning courses was the obvious next step towards furthering our mission to provide a high standard of relevant and well-rounded education," Dr. Quirino states.
