DWEA Schools Spirited Up MBA Programs with Yapster eLearning
The Divine Word Educational Association, DWEA will now offer an intensified instruction in their graduate programs as they integrate the use of Yapster's e-Learning courses to their MBA curriculum. DWEA is the educational arm of The Society of the Divine Word (SVD), an international congregation of Catholic missionary priests and brothers that preaches Gospel around the globe since 1875, and takes good care of 11 educational institutions in the Philippines consisting of colleges, universities and missionaries.
Divine Word College of Legazpi's president Rev. Fr. Francisco T. Estepa, SVD, and DWEA consultant Rev. Fr. Benjamin B. Mamawal, SVD inked a year-long agreement with Yapster e-Learning Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Arlene K. Yap-Tan last July 14 to signify their partnership and commitment to provide comprehensive and research- based instructional approaches through delivery of web-based courses presented in an instructionally sound manner.
Divine Word College of Legazpi in Albay, with forty  solid years in service in the region and as among the academic  Christian schools of DWEA, is now ready to carry out this online learning model. By this, the school will combine web-based training called e-Learning with other useful classroom-based methodologies. The mixture of these varied instructional approaches called "blended learning" is expected to create a favorable impact on learning. "Divinians" in the graduate programs can now take advantage of courses like "Project Management Series."
"Current educational research studies and issues should support our efforts in infusing technology in instruction so that investments are directed towards achieving academic goals." Fr. Mamawal stated. He challenged educational systems administrators to explore conduct of more customized school-based research studies using reliable assessment models to measure how little or significant the impact of this innovation does to learning results, teachers and learner's behavior and return of investment.
Meanwhile, Yapster e-Learning Inc., as the country's premiere provider of web-based training solutions to education and corporate training requirements with its powerhouse library of over 1,500 internationally accredited IT and Business courses, committed itself to support DWEA in all way possible to ensure that program implementation concerns are surfaced and appropriately responded.
